Well I have never felt that the Druids had enough in the way of nice items in BG so I decided to make some new equipment to help them along. The major change is I created one-handed spears and javelins (Javelins use Strength bonuses when thrown), so you can keep a shield up while dealing damage. The animation is slightly broken but you shouldn't notice it unless you pause the game at just the right time. For the most part it looks pretty good. There are some additional shields as well, as there is no reason a Druid cannot use large/medium shields. The items are added to "Deidre's" store in the "Adventurers Mart" (the old bonus CD lady upstairs by the Wyvern). The prices may be a little off, but it should be difficult to get the money up for the nicer items.

Instructions: Download and unpack the files into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition directory (or wherever the Baldur.exe is on your install). You should now have a new Directory called "Druid", and an EXE file called "setup-druid.exe". Double click the EXE and follow the prompt.

Caveat: I think you have to start a new game in order for the items to appear in her store, or have never talked to Deidre. (ymmv)

Drazganar Arahko:

In the ancient times, even before the crafting of the Mithril Hall deep in the bowels of the Deep Realm, this weapon was forged by the greatest of Dwarven weaponsmiths from the rarest and most splendid of ore. Within it are forged potent magics and resonant ability that it lends to its fortunate wielder. The shaft of this weapon smolders with warmth and magic, the tip gleams brightly and eagerly awaits its next foe. This weapon never leaves the hand of the owner; instead its power is released in the form of a javelin burning the unfortunate target. This weapon demands a healthy strength to wield appropriately, and a fair sense of coordination to work its ranged powers.

Great Spear of the High Druid:

This mysterious spear is made from Darkwood and contains a onyx tip that never dulls. Stories of this artifact are lost to time, but Druids rumor of a gift from nature that could enhance the spellcasting ability as well as serve as weapon unmatched in it's ability to pierce the strongest of armors.

Special: Can memorize 1 extra Druid spell for levels 1-5
Speed Factor: 4
Proficiency Type: Spear
Type: Two-Handed

///////////////////////////////////////////
Darkwood Tower:

The body shield, also known as the kite or tower shield, is a massive metal or wooden shield reaching nearly from the chin to the toe of the user. It must be firmly fastened to the forearm, and the shield hand must firmly grip it at all times. Naturally, this precludes use of the shield hand for anything but holding the body shield in place. This shield is made from Darkwood and is favored by Druids for its greater protection.

STATISTICS:

Equipped abilities:
Armor Class: +3, an extra +3 vs. missile attacks
Requires: 15 Strength
Weight: 15
///////////////////////////////////////////
Rhino Hide Shield:

This medium shield is constructed with the cured hide of a Rhino, and ribbed with Darkwood for its frame. This shield is a prized possession for Druids of the High Moor. Due the resistive nature of the Rhino's hide this shield conveys some elemental resistances to the wielder.

STATISTICS:

Equipped abilities:
Armor Class: +2
20% Acid Resistance
20% Cold Resistance
20% Fire resistance
Requires:12 Strength
Weight: 15
///////////////////////////////////////////
Ankheg Plate Mail:

This plate mail has been expertly crafted. Sheathed in the chitinous scales of the ankheg, it provides a greater degree of protection than traditional plate mail and is not susceptible to rust. As any world-weary adventurer will tell you, however, the best appreciated aspect of ankheg mail is its light weight and low encumbrance. Monsters come and go, but fatigue is a constant enemy.

STATISTICS:

Equipped abilities:
Armor Class: 1 (-2 vs. slashing, 0 vs. piercing and missile)
Requires:8 Strength
Weight: 25
///////////////////////////////////////////
(Just added another copy of the Ankheg Armor for one stop shopping).

Well that's it ......

Happy Hunting!

    The link's been broken for a year and the OP last visited the forums in January. Don't get your hopes up.

    It's a perfect example of how careless choices leads to loss of the interesting creation. Tip for people who upload any files: don't repeat @Corsymyr mistake and use good file hosting like github.com
