Favorite of the new characters.

One of the changes that got me excited about the enhanced editions were the addition of new potential party members and their various quest-lines. Of course now I have to decide who of the old guard I can take out of my party so I can see what the new characters have to offer. To help with that, I'm curious what others here think of the new characters. Who is your favorite/which is your favorite questline of these and why?

    So far, Neera is my fave. Although I've not really done much with Dorn or Rasaad it's pretty untenable to keep Hexxat in a good party which is what I usually play.

    Neera is good fun I found and has a decent questline which is structured In a way i prefer to the others ive seen. Shes also one of the most enjoyable classes in the game.

    Raasad has a good quest particularly for scope of RP but imo suffers slightly for being a little bit of a boring kit

    Hexxat and dorn ill probably just never use due to there extreme characters and alignment, although I did actually like what ive seen of Dorn having done his bgee quest and messed around a little with him in bg2ee. I only really got a quick look at Hexxat and i'm not a huge fan she just felt too much of a stretch to be convincing as a character to me.

    I actually enjoy all of the new characters, but I'd have to say Dorn.

    Ahh, I figured there had to have been one already but I couldn't find it until now. Thank you!

    Form is cool, but Neera grew on me in my second play though of bg1

    I usually run good playthroughs, and Rasaad and Neera are both pretty irreplaceable in my groups :)

    Where's the "none" option? I still need to try out Rasaad though, like @KidCarnival I'm not big on monks. Certainly in BG1 he fit in better than the rest. Dorn and Hexxat are flat characters, Hexxat is just a box of contradictions which is obnoxious, and Neera is enjoyable but doesn't fit the universe whatsoever.

    Forgetting such a fantastically fun npc is certainly not forgiveable.

    "Favorite" is a relative word... While not anything incredible, Dorn is still better than the others...

    Used all 4 for my run through, Neera and Dorn i enjoyed the most, maybe my dislike for Rasaad and Hexxat comes from monks being trash for 90% of the game and Thiefs remaining so, also Rasaad and Hexxat's quests had many bugs for me.

    All are good additions to the game!

    Neera takes quite a bit of flak on these forums for coming across as annoying, I'm surprised to see her winning this race.

    I had to vote for Dorn, though. Great voice acting, great character, powerful party member, fun quests... he's my favorite overall character, not just of the new batch.

    Neera is a character type that a lot of people either really like or really dislike. I really dislike her, but I can see how she would appeal to a bunch of people who I don't really comprehend, in the same way I don't get people who like Imoen (or more than like her say she's deep and interesting, despite not having any dialogue until ToB, where she gets... 2) and think Minsc is the pinnacle of humour. That said, I did enjoy her quest in SoA a lot. Much more then her quest in BGEE.

    I kinda want to play through ToB before voting, though, since this is my favourite rather than the one I think is 'technically' the best in terms of RP opportunities, interesting arc/quest, and variety of loot (which in SoA would be Rasaad, followed by Neera). I like Hexxat but I think all her quests suck horribly.

    I might have voted prematurely having not yet beaten the entire game, but Rasaad is so cool so far. It was between him and Neera. I haven't tried Hexxat, and I find Dorn to be a total badass... but a bit too one-dimensional evil.
    My opinion is open for change when I play Hexxat and Dorn and get further into Neera's story

    In all seriousness, from what I've seen Rasaad feels the most consistent with the vanilla npcs. You wouldn't be able to tell he was a EE NPC if you didn't now.

    Can't decide between Neera and Hexxat :S
    They are both so cute, and both have amzing tits a nice background story, both classes were missing in the games, also their stats and those thingies pnly power gamers care about rock on both of them (mostly on Hexxat).
    EDIT: I will vote for Neera here and for Hexxat in the other thread :P <3 em'

    Exactly; Rasaad fits. The rest stick out like a sore thumb.

    Neera by a smidgen, but I like all of them quite a bit and think they all fit quite well in the game.

    I think all the characters are interesting. Rasaad is a bit too serious/boring, but I guess that also comes from his monkiness.

    I like Neera the most. Followed by Rasaad. Don't much like Dorn or Hexxat because I can't stand evil characters.
