*Spoilers* Special Shopkeeper in SoA?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I found the new EE shopkeeper while playing SoA on my single player game but I can't seem to find him again on my multiplayer game. What criteria do you need to get him to show up right outside the Copper Coronet?

    He's the guy that sells IWD equipment. He actually is supposed to be inside the Copper Coronet, afaik. Him being outside it is a glitch.

    Well, he could have run away from the fighting when you freed the slaves, maybe?

    He appeared outside of coronet first time for me. Although later on, he was in the coronet itself. Not sure if the fighting scared him outside or if this was what was supposed to happen. Either way, I noted that in one instance, he only appear at outside the coronet at nighttime. Not sure if bug.

    Not actually new to the EE. Supplied in some special editions of the original BG2 I believe. There is another in the Adventurer's Mart, with a different assortment of powerful items.
