How bad or good do you consider yourself? Do you follow laws? Do you even care about something?

NOTE: The second Lawful Good is Lawful Neutral, thanks @meagloth and @Night_Watch for pointing out.

I once took an alignment quiz and Chaotic Good was the result. I also consider myself to be Chaotic Good regardless of that quiz result. Some rules are plain stupid and don't do any good to humanity.

    CN..

to me CN is the most fitting alignment, because it represents true freedom.

Here are some possible adjectives describing chaotic neutral characters and while certainly not all of them apply to me some/many do: unreliable, independent, greedy, inconsistent, unpredictable, selfish, disorderly, anarchic, self-centered, confusing, unfettered, free, and individualistic.

And one of the most important CN commandments.. You shall pursue pleasure!! v*^_^*v

I like alignment polls, more than I should really. I'm always surprised at the result, how even it usually is. I think people vote for what alignment they wish to be, not what they act like on a day to day basis. I think alignment has to be the way you act, not the way you think. That means you actually have to ACT evil, to be evil, not just think Darth Vader is cool. To really be chaotic evil, you should have at least attempted murder by age 30. Most people are lawful, usually good or neutral. Most people who think they are evil are probably just chaotic neutral.

@meagloth I agree but i don't think most people are lawful good. perhaps neutral good. Some say that in order to be "good" you have to do good deeds even when it comes with a personal cost. Perhaps Lawful Neutral and Neutral Good are the "everyman" alignment.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
@meagloth I am completely evil, I am uncaring about others, it is not that you have to murder to be CE, also, I wish I could do good, but I dislike being nice to others, I am always polite (well, 90% of the time), but I still being evil, I like hurting others and seeing how they suffer, I bother other just for my pleasure of them suffering, also, I can also be NE with no problems, but I try to break the common order, what makes me Chaotic.
Also, Darth Bane is the waaaaaaay lot cooler and powerful than Darth Vader, I'm a SW geek also.

Trust me... he is a completely vile human being
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
    @booinyoureyes who? Me?
@meagloth you should ask @Jalily why she considers herself CE?? She helps a lot in the forums and makes others follow the rules.

@CrevsDaak, I don't think I understand. You wish you could do good, but don't like being nice, so your chaotic evil? That just makes you antisocial. And do you actually hurt people for fun, or just watch movies of it? (And if you mean hi-fiving someone with a tack, that's called a since of humor, not evil.)

"I look at people sometimes and I see nothing to like... I hate most people."

Hmmm... So do I. I think a lot of this conflict comes from conflicting interpretations of the alignments.
Also, @crevsdaak, you have lawful good instead of lawful neutral, it seems. I just noticed now, so it might not be a big deal.

@meagloth you were the first one to fall in count :P yeah, that's a joke :P
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
@meagloth I like making others suffer and feel pain, but I am not all the time doing so. My behavior is CE, but I want to change it, but I oppose the change too, I don't really know if its right or not to change, also, I am some sort of antisocial. Then, most of the people I do bad against bothered me in some way before (it might sound some sort of Lawful, but since it is according only to ME and just ME, its even more chaotic), an idiot from school that bothers me since I met it (yeah, he is not even human according to my CE way of judging people) is one of the few that fall to my evil desires, but then I make people feel bad by talking to them, by telling what they are doing wrong and how they fall in all the lies I do not fall and other things that affect them like that.
Also, in the forums I behave True Neutral, while in real life I do not.

2 lawful goods? I'm assuming the 2nd is suppose to be lawful neutral

The alignment square is stupid and unable to express any idea about a character.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
@Night_Watch yeah, half joke half error, I want to put LG there and LN up there, I know you are LN, just don't mind.
@Almateria I hope you reconsider being trolling the whole day. This must *come* to an end. Stop it or I will denounce you, really, you are straining my nerves.

    @crevsdaak:
Hmmmm, I think we just think of the alignment system differently. You don't seem like a bad person, especially if you want to change the way you act. I think you could even be chaotic good alignment from what you said here. I think the chaotic, neutral, and lawful refers to your everyday behavior, the good, neutral, evil to what big choices and world-views you have. If someone offered you $100,000 to kill a innocent man (you get away with it), would you do it?
And what do you mean by "you like to hurt people" like, pranks, or do you walk around and punch people?
If you laugh when e freind gets hurt, thats not evil. That's normal.
  • AlmateriaAlmateria Member Posts: 257
@CrevsDaak The alignment system is meaningless, and easily the worst thing about dungeon and dragons. I can't believe you are defending it. Perhaps, in this situation, the troll you are looking for… is you?

@meagloth I want to change in a different way, not changing myself, changing the others I dislike, if someone offers me 100K bucks for killing someone else, I would kill HIM, just to get the money and put another idiot to rest (offerin' me 100K for killing someone is like asking for suicide from my Chaotic point of view). I don't laugh if a friend goes hurt, I would do nothing or help him if I care. And I tend to use my knowledge in human anatomy to hurt people by pressing their wrist's nerves (which hurts a lot) or just something like twisting its arms till it hurts, mainly I am not hurting people all the time, but I like hurting others, it reminds me I hold power to make others insignificant, what makes me evil.

And I would like to change in a very different way of what you've said, I almost never follow rules (except in the forums, I won't like to get banned, but I still being a little chaotic here too, and I try to express it all the time), a great irony is that I am the best student in the class, but I behave worst than many others. I want to change in a way of being able to change others, aka getting more powerful or something like that. The other thing is that, looking at the world before humanity I see it more beautiful, and I like the past better than the future that awaits us (not a good one for sure), I don't want humans to live anymore, I feel like Balthazar from ToB, I want to leave no man alive in the world (except he was doing this for the good of the sword coast and I would do it because I hate our society, and those were psycho maniac killer Bhaalspawns and, well, from my point of view the whole world is sitting in a chair asking what Worldwide population means, and I am striking them with a sword with the word "society" on it (I always say I wasn't evil my whole life, society and how it is turned me evil) and I laughing like Xzar).
I can find resemblance between I and Irenicus, also with Evil from Time Bandits (Jon Irenicus is based on him, but anyway) and with Arioch, the Lord of Chaos in the Elric of Melibone book saga.

@Almateria you've searched for me too, maybe @Dee or @Metalloman can explain the site's rules a little bit better than I would.
Also, I have found myself a long time ago, I expected less, but I am more.

I remember I took an alignment quiz a few years ago and it said I was lawful good. But then, I took one more recently and it says I was neutral good. People change, I guess. :P

@NybCR people change, all the time.

@crevsdaak, I think you are just a bit confused, you and me sound very similar, you just think your evil, and you're trying to defend that, so you might be putting emphasis on certain things that aren't really a huge part of you.
And no, you wouldn't kill him and take the money, he's the one with the gun to your head, and he doesn't even have it with him. No loopholes.
  • AlmateriaAlmateria Member Posts: 257
@crevsdaak, I, too, am a psychopathic murderer to be. We should probably join forces.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
@meagloth a welcome laid for Oblivion, but I do consider evil liking to see other suffer, using others as tools, using others only to learn/get what you want (I haven't mentioned those before, but I tend to be like that, just as I said, not all the time, just sometimes), and if he has a gun, I think he won't allow me to refuse, there are fake promises and knives in this world, and it cames that I would have both (maybe the knife not, but well, the lies, yes :P) with me, and as I said, I won't refuse to die, I won't loose much I care about, tomorrow, now, in 20 years, no matter when, I will die one day.
