Dumb question: How do I patch?

If I have downloaded the installer (not using Steam), what is the correct method to patch my game to the newest version? I don't see any way to update once the game is started.

Also, I see the announcement of patch 1.2.2030, but I don't see a link to download it.

It's very likely that I'm an idiot and have obviously missed something obvious.
