Cross-Platform Connectivity

I'm trying to get my iPad to connect with my PC for a multiplayer game of BGEE. I can't get my iPad to detect my PC's hosted game. I can get my PC to connect to my iPad but they immediately disconnect because they are different versions. For future reference: how do I connect my iPad to a PC game once I've updated my iPad version?

For multiplayer and mods we need a version selector. That would be handy, like what minecraft has

My friend (iPad) and I (PC) are having the same issue. We used to be able to play multiplayer with no issue, but now we can't connect because the iPad is at version 1.2.2031 and PC is still at 1.2.0. Is there any particular reason the different platform versions are now out of sync? Being able to play cross-platform was one of the reasons we purchased the EE in the first place.

iPad version has been updated but it is still not the same version as the PC version. I also still cannot connect to a PC game (when a PC game attempts to connect to an iPad game it will connect but is immediately booted out because the two games are two different versions).

Does anyone know if there are plans to bring the iPad and PC version numbers in line so they will once again be compatible?
