I have no idea but a good one for the PC is Open Broadcast Software, you can record direct mp4's
not sure if it's compatible with Mac
Hey bud, if you do one play a stalker! Would love to see that.
I miss the old days when that was popular, never really could get into video based LPs, since I can't hear them.
I use Fraps to record gameplay video/audio, which is easy to use and relatively cheap. For commentary audio I strongly recommend Audacity. I used to just record commentary with Fraps too, but that made it impossible to separate the game audio from the commentary, and fix the white noise you get from computer cooling fan and other background noises. With Audacity there is a quick and easy process to remove background noise and make the commentary much clearer. Oh and it's free
To demonstrate, here's my early work... a lot of the time it's hard to work out what I am saying over the music and static.

And this is the difference with my new setup...

The downside of Fraps is that the videos will be massive, so you need to compress it before uploading. I do that with Windows Movie Maker, which is free, and nicely puts together the Audacity commentary recording and the Fraps gameplay recording, and compress them to something suitable for Youtube.
I don't know what you're hoping to achieve, but for something fairly casual, I am happy with my mostly free and convenient setup.
