Lothander missing on iPad version

Hi,

I just updated to the latest BGEE version yesterday, and now Lothander is missing at the Blade and Stars inn.

I know he used to be there because I already obtained the antidote from him after killing all the bitch god prietress. Unhappy with this solution, I reloaded and change it, and now Lothander is away from all of my saves.

Since there's no CLUA on iPad (worst decision ever guys), can I do something else than a 1 stars hateful review on the iTunes store guys ?

Oh and I do not have rasaad in my party.

Threatening to abuse your ability to rate the game is a really great way to motivate fans of the game to help you. Also, actually rating the game 1 star is a very productive solution to your predicament.

If you have a saved game from before you were poisoned, this thread contains a non-CLUA solution (where you do certain events in a certain order). Look for the comment by Southpaw.

Edit: Fixed link. Sorry about that error.

Yep, you can die to the poison, quit the game, and never come back here. You spoiled child.

@Emptiness what type of troll is that? It takes me to this page! Good joke by the way...

Oh, wow, I messed that link up horribly. Not intended as a joke...I'll try to find the intended page and fix it.

Hi, I'm suffering form the same bug. Got poisoned before updating and have no saves before I was poisoned. Then updated, got the scroll from umberlee, tried to hand in the quest but Lothander is missing :(

Any advice or just wait for a fix? This is kind of game-breaking..

    Hi,

I took BGEE only because I wanted to play during transports, since the new update just broke what was working fine, or almost fine, like the touchpadm and screwed a show-stopper quest, I just stoped playing and turned back on good old legacy PC version I played back in 2000.

    Bad, bad work guys.

I returned to my game after the patch and continue playing in the Baldurs Gate City. I had previously started the Lothander quest, and now after the patch I got as far as getting the remove geas scroll. I went to the Stars and Blade Inn and Lothander wasn't there. After a little online research I found that this is a serious game breaking bug as my character will now die from the poison. I also see that this bug has been around for quite sometime and has still not been fixed. I don't have Rassad in my party, never have. What must I do on the ipad to fix this bug?

Apparently the fix it to back up to a save from before you were poisoned and then follow the steps in the link I posted earlier in this thread.

Alternatively, you could use the CLUA console (or have someone else use it for you, if you don't have access to a version of the game with access to the CLUA console) to fix the situation.

I have no save from a point prior to being poisoned. I have done everything in that quest correctly so I'm not really sure why Lothander doesn't appear after I get the scroll of remove geas. The only reason could be that the game is defective. And since I didn't set out to buy a defective product and the game manufacturer seems unwilling or unable to fix the problem, then I would like a refund. Must I email Apple to have the game removed from the istore before more people are tricked into buying it?

Threatening retaliation here is pointless...the people who decide whether to refund a game purchase don't read this forum looking for threats. You might have more luck getting a refund if you e-mail the appropriate contact at your point-of-purchase and ask for a refund. Of course, don't interpret this as some sort of guarantee that you'll get the refund you're looking for - I'm not associated with any of the companies in question and don't play any role in refund decisions.

If you had uploaded a copy of your saved game with a polite request for someone to fix it for you then you would probably be past this problem already. Of course, if you prefer to bang your head against Apple in an effort to convince them that your rare problem warrants classifying the product as defective and removing it from the iStore, well, then hopefully (for the sake of your case) they won't come across this thread in their investigation.
