Will there be any compatibility issues if I MP with a friend who isn't using mods?

At the moment I have a completely unmodded bgee and we're part way through the first game. but i also want to start a modded bg2ee and when I finish the bgee MP we'll move onto a bg2ee MP

will having mods affect our game, and how?

    It will require that your friend have the same mods. I believe removing the override folder remove them all, so it shouldn't be hard but then idk
