BGII Patch 1.2 and Steam version

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I want to know if the Steam version was patched to version 1.2.2030

There isn't anything about updates in the news section, and the game doesn't download any patches

    Then I would hazard a guess that when you downloaded it from steam, the client you downloaded was already 1.2.2030

    Unless of course you downloaded it before the release of the patch.

    From my experience, Steam Client updates games automatically unless you change the settings, so it shouldn't matter when the game was downloaded only whether Steam version was patched or not.

    Just wondering, I have mods installed so I turned off steam autopatching, is it worth reinstalling mods etc to patch? What's the changes?
