Saved game problem

in General Discussion (Spoiler Warning!)
I was fooling around and accidentally lost access to my saved games. Note to self: don't mess with the computer late at night.

My games are still in the folder "baldur's gate enhanced edition\saves".
When I tried to load within the game there were no saves listed.
What did I do? Any thoughts before I reinstall?

    Can you still create new saves? Do they end up in the same folder?
    If the problem lies with the old save files then I don't think a reinstall will do anything.

    I created a new game and saved it.
    I searched for the file and determined that I had saved my folder as saves instead of saves.
    Mystery solved. Thank you.

    It's funny, when I post on a forum about a similar problem, often typing it out helps me realize what I did wrong
