Question about Neera's quest and where it intersects with Rasaad's, minor spoilers.

I haven't found Wilson yet but I've done the other short subquests for the refuge. Haven't done anything with Rasaad yet aside from picking him up.

Picked up the blue elf for Neera, went back to the refuge and found it in disarray, and the quest to get Wilson disappeared entirely from my journal. I'm guessing that's because the guy that gave it is gone now. Does this mean that I HAVE to advance Rasaad's quest and go get Wilson BEFORE I recruit the elf or return to the shelter? Worried I may have to reload an earlier save here. If I go back to after picking up the elf but BEFORE returning to the refuge the Wilson quest is still there, doesn't seem to vanish until I get back and see the damage. I don't know for sure if I need to talk to the stoner guy after I get Wilson to complete the quest, though...do I need to load an even earlier save from before I rescued the blue elf?
