Hide yo kids...

:D

If you could choose to hide your main character anywhere in Faerun, where would it be?

(Mine would be Durlag's Tower, very few people make it through there)

Obviously, in a hole in the ground.

In the Far Realm so he can go insane possibly become a slave to illithid and extremely unlikely (due to the fact that Cthulhu is not in d&d due to legal problems when d&d started) meet Cthulhu.

Neverwinter. That place is crawling with Chosen Ones, who's going to track down one Bhaalspawn?

Silverymoon. Inevitably, the Seven Sister ruler would save your butt (she could take down Sarevok in one silver fire, seriously), or Drizzt and friends will just be passing by and kick his butt as well. Hell, they'd probably all kick Irenicus's butt while they were at it. That's a city of Extremely Powerful Beings of Goodess. The Bhaalspawn would probably be hopelessly deprotagonised and no one would care about CHARNAME anymore, but they'd be safe.

...Of course, that would make for a really boring story.

Eh, just cast an Imprisonment spell on him. Good luck wandering Faerun casting Freedom every couple of minutes to find him.

Having lost most of my party recently to Imprisonment, and without the means to free them, I can tell you that I'd prefer death by Sarevok over Imprisonment. The spell traps you in a small sphere underneath the earth, in suspended animation. You remain conscious, but stop ageing, so you remain trapped, unable to move or do anything, for eternity until somebody frees you. Makes solitary confinement look kinda cosy.

that makes me wonder... imagine if we just imprisoned a bunch of bhaalspawn all over. we could have stopped the bhaal crisis from ever happening! good luck finding all of them :)

Hide? Why hide when you can move? The best hiding place is one that is ever changing, since if people do not know where to even begin looking, then more likely than not, they will not find you.

Noober's home. No one will dare to enter...

Hmm, I like cold weather, so I'm thinking maybe Kuldahar for my hideout. It's far removed enough to probably be beyond Sarevok's attention, or any other Bhaalspawn's. Maybe I could just seek sanctuary with Arundel, make some friends, and practice my character skills in the surrounding areas of Icewind Dale, while waiting out the Bhaalspawn wars.

I wouldn't even be Charname, I'd just be some random Bhaalspawn bard nobody's ever heard of, and after Charname ascends, the Bhaal crap would leave me and go to him or her, and I could just live out my life comfortably in Kuldahar with the druids, or maybe move down to Neverwinter after *that* Charname gets rid of the plague there.

And then I could just play the flute and tell stories in Duncan's tavern and discuss magical theory with Sand until *that* Charname gets rid of the Luskan Fifth Tower people and the Shadow King.
