Quick question about gear

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I have only enough money to buy one of them:

- Robe of Vecna
- Dak'kon's Zerth Blade

Which one should I buy first? (for my berseker/mage)

    The Robe of Vecna. Definetly. Then go for the blade, but it is only +2, what means you can get much better katanas in SoA, without having to buy them, but this particular katana is very good too.

    I don't buy the blade I'd rather use a ring of acuity and belm.

    I think the blade is only useful in early-ish SoA, so I'd buy it first.

    The best katana (and probably the best weapon) in the game, imho, is the Celestial Fury. You can find that by invading the "Guarded Compound" in the Temple district. I often use Valygar in my games and a stop here is a must! (Be prepared for a fight, though!)

    I don't use valygar but celestial fury backstab and fade around a corner is working very well for hexxat.

    Robe of Vecna is basically best in slot item for all of SoA. And the blade is easily replaced. Celestial Fury as others have said is a lot better. If you can't handle the fight to get Celestial Fury however, then there are still alternatives that are better than the blade you mention.

    I'd say robe of Vecna is best in slot through the whole game what are you going to replace it with?
