Hexxat Romance bug?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I'm midway through the underdark and Hexxat got stuck in ghost form, so I tried kicking her from the group and reinviting but I ended up getting the first love talk again... I wondered what was going on so I loaded an earlier save and noticed that HexxatRomanceActive was reset to 1... Is that supposed to happen in the underdark?

If I slept with her already should that have concluded the romance?
