HPs on level up limited to 1

I'm playing a multiplayer game with 6 of my own characters. I've gone through a few level ups, but now on the last 3 or 4 character level ups, the max hit points given is 1. I've reloaded several times and not been able to get a different result. My last level up was with a fighter thief with high constitution, and on his fighter level up I once again got only 1 HP. It seems pointless to keep playing if every level up is going to give me 1 HP. Any thoughts?

Check manual 2 on page 205. Starting from level 10 or 11 (depending on class) characters gain only 1, 2 or 3 hit points per level (depending on class), and constitution bonus does not apply anymore.
