Dorn il Khan 2nd conversation not initiating

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I have been playing for a while, lvl 15, and Dorn is not starting the second part of his quest to find the paladin at the temple of helm. Does anyone know how to start this, or is this a bug?

    Dorn is the one who must be level 12+, not the main character.

    He must be lvl 12+ to initiate that part of the conversation?
