Importing dead companions from BGEE to BG2EE

Hi,
I have just finished the iPad version of Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, and during the final battle Dorn il-Khan has died. I retried multiple times, but I either lose the battle, or more companions die before Sarevok dies.
Knowing that Dorn will appear in BG2EE, my question is, when I'm going to import my character in BG2EE will Dorn be considered dead by the game and never appear, or will he appear and be recriutable, regardless of the outcome of my battle?

only your character stats will imported (and a very few selected pieces of equipment) - anything quests or npc related you achieved doesn't matter.

In the future, I read that they are going to add some flagging to save game imports. I doubt this would kill npcs, though, as Xzar, Edwin, and probably others all had resurrected options. For now, however, you should be able to recruit Dorn fine, whether you use save game import or chr. import.
