Hexxat - can't complete Leopard staff quest?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi All, I've got the Leopard Staff from the tomb and returned to the city but no one has come to take the staff from me. I think it's because when I arrived back in the graveyard Nalia's father's funeral cutscene triggered, which might have confused something in the game triggers. Any advice? Thanks!
