Well it is certainly a possibility. And there is this too.

Look at the admin name entry.

I actually wouldn't mind a game set nearly exclusively in the under dark.

Yeah I'd love to see it too. There was a poll thread up a few months back, and if memory serves, I believe IWD won by quite a bit as the EE most folks would love to see next.

I would've loved to see an ID:EE though with the sub-races of ID2. But seeing how much trouble it was getting BG into the the BGII engine, I doubt ID with the ID2 engine would be worth their time and effort as the sales probably wouldn't be anywhere near that of the Baldur's Gate series'.

maybe vanilla iwd like the bg enhanced editions and iwd2 the iwd2 engine just enhanced. even just the original with bg2 kits and updated graphics and whatnot would be great

It may not be as difficult as you may think:

Granted it looks like the project seems to have been abandoned a long time ago, they did appear to have made quite a bit of progress. Personally, I'd rather see them tackle Planescape:Torment next. While I've never played it myself, I've heard a lot about it. And pretty much every game review site has it listed as one of the top two CRPGs, alongside Baldur's Gate 2.

I'd love to see IWDEE -- especially if they introduced some BG2-style NPCs!

IWD into a 3E game engine would be a deal breaker to me. I'd pay serious money for more 2E product, but no other version.

3e is tolerable, though I much prefer AD&D.

Companions is definitely one of the things that would make it Enhanced.

Someone shared this in another obscure forum I frequent, and I was surprised I had not seen it shown here. =]
