quest mistake

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
hi everybody
I did a great mistake in keldorn's quest and now is gone. there is something to do to restart the quest?

    If you completed Keldorn's quest in such a way as to cause him to retire, the only way to get him back would be to reload to a previous save and make different decisions. Or, I suppose you could console in a new version of him, though that might in turn force you to do his quest again.

    It can be a bit frustrating that you need to be a selfish jerk in order to keep him in your party...
