Copying BG2 from one Mac to another

I successfully copied BG2 from my old iMac computer to a new iMac, and it opens fine, but my game in progress did not transfer over. I can only start a new game, not continue my old game. Is there some way to remedy this? And can games be synced between two Mac computers??

    Did you copy the save games?
    On my mac (OS 10.9) the save games are kept in a separate folder from most of the files. In the Documents folder you can find a link to the saves games labeled "Baldur's Gate 2 - Enhanced Edition" (or some such).
