Make it more obvious when a character is still casting

This is a problem with the IE games, especially IWD2. The character will animate sporadically, sometimes waving their arms and then going still and repeating this cycle, so it's not clear when their task has finished. This problem is exacerbated with bigger battles with lots going on. Also, the magic graphic (like a green blob) tends to either not appear, disappear early, or linger after the cast is complete so it's not a great indicator. I hate moving a character out of danger, only to have interrupted a cast I thought had finished.

Something simple like changing the colour of the character circle would help. The fanciest solution would be to fill the character circle with a colour and have it countdown like a clock :)

Yesh please. Though I tend to use autopause spell cast its still nice to have more feedback on how much more time is needed to cast a spell (timestop without Vecna or Poweramulet comes to mind).

I've never had a problem with it; they wave their arms and magic energy builds up before them, always thought it was pretty obvious (never had a graphic glitch with it either).

I would like it if they made it harder for a caster to recieve orders while casting. I often make the mistake of selecting a group of characters (or click the ALL button) and clicking ot attack, only to realise that I have two spellcasters still casting, which they have now aborted.
Making it so I can only move them when I have single-targetted them (not in a group) or having to doubleclick, while they're casting, would prevent that from happening.

I definitely remember having problems where my caster would stop the casting animation well before the spell was actually cast.

I agree with this. It also seems a little bit of a bug that when you cast a spell then pause the game, the chanting continues, and so when you unpause, the chanting has finished but the spell is still casting, which can get very confusing.

Also it's kinda stupid to start casting a spell, pause the game and then if you do ANY other action (eg press stop), the spell is lost.
There should be a way to continue the last action and don't allow spells to stop before the game is unpaused.
