When You Do So Much Damage to Bodhi in Spellhold, She Just Despawns [Spoilers]

So I wanted to freak my friend out in multiplayer by not telling him that my PC was going to turn into the Slayer, when Bodhi jumps us. I have boots of speed on my PC, and had Imoen cast Haste as well as my PC casting Bless and Call Upon Holy Might. Overkill? Yes. But then my friend also cast Symbol of Stun, which stunned Bodhi and let's just say she took more damage from the Slayer (and hasted, buffed Wilson and Minsc lol), that I don't think the game knew what to do and she suddenly despawned without trigger conversation or anything of the sort. It's like she died, but didn't. Needless to say I'm concerned that this might break things in the game in the future, and I am just going to reload and try the fight again.

Wanted to post this regardless, as a bug. Thought it was funny.

Don't attack here there, let the slayer hit her a few times only.

As my post says, that is what happened :P But since she was stunned, she got hit by a double hasted Slayer about 294521359235 times.

I wonder if the amount of damage happened so fast that a kill registered instead of a low hit point / trigger.

In most cases there's a hit point percentage at which the mobs will trigger their cutscene/cancel battle. I would guess if you can hit hard enough it's possible to skip that trigger and proceed straight to "death". The only time this isn't possible is when a mob has been given an item, like Imoen's belt at the beginning of the game, that ensures they cannot die.

In this case, I don't think Bodhi is death protected, you're just not supposed to do that much damage! :)

I would definitely re-do the battle and let Bodhi's cutscene happen instead of gibbing her straight off...I'd be afraid of what status conditions / local / global variables that cut-scene sets. Given Bodhi isn't a skippable side quest in the game...I think you'll be better off redoing this.

Bodhi is death protected with an amulet, though it's not quite as thorough as the normal "minhp1" ring so it's possible you level drained her or stat drained her with a sword or something. She also may have been silenced for her dialog and just left the first chance she got.

Since you turned into the slayer (and presumably stopped being the slayer at some point), it's likely every trigger fired as it should. If you want to be extra sure, you can use the following command:

    CLUAConsole: GetGlobal("AsylumPlot", "GLOBAL")

And it should be 42 or 43 or so. Maybe higher than that depending on how much time has passed since Bodhi. If it's less than that, your slayer transform may be a little screwy later on in the game. Good luck!
