Companion's Starting Weapon Proficiencies?

I am trying to create a new character, and trying to get weapon proficiencies that will not conflict with allowing me to give each member of my party the best weapon they are proficient with. Problem is none of the guides I have found for NPC companions even mention weapon proficiencies for some strange reason.

If anyone could provide some info or a link to a guide that lists every companion in both BG:EE and BG2:EE's starting weapon proficiencies that would really be helpful

Well, here's one for BG2. Some (Anomen) have been altered slightly but it'll be about the same. http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/profs.php

BG1 is going to be a bit tougher since the proficiency system isn't the same as it was in the original. You might consider looking the NPC's you want up in EEKeeper.

Thank you, TBH it's less important in BG:EE since I don't really worry as much about the absolute best weapons in it (seeing as how you don't carry much over anyway) but it was rather surprising so few NPC guides even bothered to tell you which weapon proficiencies the companions had. I am going for an Inquisitor playthrough and am considering having Minsc & Keldorn in BG2 so going 2-Handed Sword seemed like a sure-fire way to have a conflict of who gets the best weapon (obviously Keldorn gets Carsomyr), and I wanted to separate myself from his proficiencies somehow.

Considering all three can only specialize and get a ton of pips I don't see how it will matter, keldorn gets Carsomyr, Minsc goes lilacor to silver sword to ravager, and Charname goes azuredge/frost reaver? From nalia's keep to foebane/purifier and defender of easthaven with belm and crom Freyr as choices...

I have NPC guides for BGEE and BG2EE that may or may not be helpful to you in this sense

    BGEE

    BG2EE

In the case of BG2EE it doesn't say weapon proficiencies for every possible level for some of the characters (due to spacing restrictions) but at a minimum it does state them for their lowest acquirable level. In the case of the warrior characters I was able to fit in all levels (because frankly there was generally less to write about).
