Question about progressing chapters

Okay, im not sure... But... if I was to talk to Gaelin from the Shadow Thiefs about getting help to find Imoen. After paying him and moving to chapter 3. Will i be missing out on anything in chapter 2?

    No... unless there's time urgent things u haven't done.

    U will be able to return and do all the Chapter 2 sidequests after you try to save Imoen.

    However... it will be a LONG time before you are back.

    Oh okay... I'm doing ALOT of quest at the moment in chapter 2.

    No, most of the "side" quests are irelevant of which chapter you are in, you just spend some chapters far away from Amm, so you must do them before embarquing for somewhere or maybe save them for after the journey, if you come back ;) .
    If you could specify which quest you are worried about it might help.
    I suggest not letting any quest unfinished before ending a chapter, as some have a timmer between events. That doesn't mean to finnish the quest once you got the trigger, just do the quests all the way through when you started making progress.
    If you are a thief, do the stronghold questline before the end of chapter 3, the stronghold has a weird timer that freezes your stronghold if you don't show up once a week, so stay in town until the last quest.

    Not sure if you know, but you can always click back to previous chapters in your journal, to remind you of any quests that you haven't finished yet. Vast majority are on a timer so it's pretty safe.
    Also in chapter 3 you're pretty much doing the same thing as in chapter 2! (I think you've just had to choose sides)
