Missing edwin help

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I dismissed Edwin recently on good terms and I can't find him. I checked rested a couple in days in the copper coronet and searched there. I also went back to areas I could have potentially told him to stay but haven't found him. 99% I told him to go back to copper coronet where he is not found.
