Many people's favorite: Subraces!

Tiefling, Aasimar (quite ironic), all the elf subraces including Drow; duergar, svirnefli...

Genasi might be out of place.

Half Goblin would be delightful. Nice race for mischief.

    I think having Drow or Duergar would be ridiculous - just look at people's reactions to Viconia and the stories she tells. This isn't the sparsely populated Icewind Dale, people would notice and would want to kill you.

    Aasimar and Tiefling would also be a LITTLE out of place, if you consider how you react to Haer'Dalis but not quite as much as the others.

    Travelling the surface while belonging to the Drow necessitates a great deal of going hooded and with as little notice as possible, indeed. Oloth zhah tuth abbil lueth ogglin. Any heeding my stories should be very familiar with this notion - and yet, one woman's experience will only ever be hearsay, to another.

    Any desiring to lead the life of a half-goln should ensure they've not taken one too many knocks to the skull, I would say!
