Immunity: Divination + Invisibility = HOW?

Basically the title....What do i do when a mage has contingency like that: Divination, Invisibility, stoneskin, etc...

How do i dispel that invisibility...I have a cleric/mage and an inquisitor that have dispelling of invisbility type effects, but is there any non-divination way to dispel invisibility?

EDIT: Just found out dispel magic is not Divination :D

Is there anything else?

If they have both si div and si abjur then you have a real problem. Then you use glitterdust or thief detect illusion.

If it's a lich it will be immune to glitter dust.

A thief with high Detect Illusion should be able to see through the invisibility. Then follow up with a Spell Thrust or similar spell.

Thief detection would work. As would smacking them with anything that stuns (thus making all other attacks autohit) or anything that dispels, or anything that eats magic (couple mage summons can eat magical abilities)

As always: Thieves are badass and seriously underestimated.

When all else fails, AOE spells don't care if you can see your target or not.

Since SCS i pump detect illusion as soon as find traps/open locks are maxed

    Detect Illusion.
Also SCS makes it so that pretty much all spell removals besides Breach are tiny aoe and therefore can target even improved invisible characters, as to make SI:Abjuration+SI:Divination+II less op.
Pierce Magic and Secret Word are my favorites when it comes to that during low levels. Do note that if you choose the cheesy prebuff option than every mage and their mother that's not a halfwit will also come with Spell Shield and perhaps even Spell Trap for the stronger ones. Spell Trap basically means enjoy not being able to remove anything unless your mages are level 14+

That's one of the reasons I actually memorize a few spell strikes.

Is there some guide to countermagic? I've been playing Baldur's Gate 2 and I like the melee stuff more than casting dispel magic and watching it not work. So I usually just AOE or go close the door and go wait somewhere else for the immunity-to-whatevernormally works expires.

Glitterdust would also work. Its a conjuration spell.

I love Gliterdust; blinds low-level enemies, reveals invisible ones, all for a lvl 2 spell slot. Very nice.

Unfortunately some enemies are immune to level 2 spells which means you have to wait for them to cast timestop and kick your butt before you see them :)

Actually ran into a lich that cast mislead and I couldn't find the clone hidden away so I got absolutely destroyed...
