Neera Quest bugged?

I try to do Neera's quest, but there is no secret camp on the map. I had told Neera to meet me there in the bridge district sequence, but when I arrived there, she wouldn't join. I could talk to her, but she just said banter lines, so I ctrl-q'd her into the party, which is probably the problem. How do I trigger her quest or whatever? She reacted to the gnome by the cart and the snake, but nothing else.

You don't mention it, but have you "activated" the bridge? - as far as I know, the camp only becomes accessible once you've gone over the bridge. I'd heard of some people having problems with getting Neera to join - I once encountered this, but reloading to the previous area and repeating the trip to the forest solved that - don't know if force-joining her buggers up the quest script.

i guess the question to ask is any mods? my playthrough with ascension I had no problems after the annoyance of trying to make her show at the bridge district in the first place.

I removed her from the party, then had her re-join, in front of the bridge. That triggered it. Before, I had picked up the gravel, but couldn't do anything with it (bridge had no interaction cursor or container or what it is supposed to have).
Neera later also got stuck in a dialogue loop in the enclave and the only way out of the loop was the instant attack option. All other options (calm down - might have useful items - I know a wild mage I want to hand over) resulted in her and the Red Wizard merchant repeating the same thing again and again. I only wanted the quest to unlock the store and buy the Dagger of Venom, so I reloaded in the camp, ditched Neera and went to the enclave without her.
