Quickest Irenicus Battle Ever?

I just fought Irenicus in the final battle in Suldanessellar

Dispel Magic from Keldorn dispelled everything, then my Kensage killed him with improved haste + flail of ages + Crom Faeyr in about 6 seconds... on SCS...lol...Thought it was quite funny.

Guess i got lucky ;D

    Being in SCS, you surely got more xp, which makes Keldorn's dispell even more powerfull. I don't think the SCS Irenicus is higher level than vanilla, just stronger, so it wont affect the dispel.
    Maybe you just got super lucky.
    Still, it's an impresive feat! Good job!

    on my own game I just realized that he has a weakness for being completely entrapped inside skeletons. i just summoned as he was time stopping and moved out of the way. guess he had no death spells memorized :)

    this is also SCS

    Heh, ya, It was quite interesting, kind of wish i would have captured my face when i saw he was successfully dispelled :OOOO lol

    I tried to do it again, Using like 6 dispel magics, to no avail...I eventually killed him tho anyways.

    He's not immune to Time Stop?

    Seems like every boss or supermonster of some kind is, though it seems kind of cheap to me that they get to cheat...

    I believe the Timestop created by Wish bypasses that resistance.

    I did it faster with 4x spike trap but that doesn't really count :) I did the same in hell but had to tripper dragons breath to finish him...

    Surely big Jon is more than 5 levels above Keldorn, which would make dispel magic impossible if you installed the nerf down to 1x level instead of 2x level?

    One of the main reasons I'm dreading going back for the next play through, neera ant viconia at 8 million exp can just straight up dispell like anyone... Also viconia can turn liches...

    I nerfed it down to 1.5

    It was the middle option

    i mean that he was casting it himself :)

    i do think he wasn't immune to a timestop i used in an earlier attempt though, so I guess he is a strange case

    basically he got done his time stop but was trapped in a circle of skeletons with my party out of sight, so all he could do is sit there surrounded by skeletons stopped in time. I can imagine him trying to push through but they are frozen in time so they just sit there :)

    anyway they seem to have manage to disrupt him or something because normally he wouldn't be taking damage as soon as he was. i just ran my character in when i looked at the log to see damage being done and he was already badly injured so I just sat back and watched him get beaten by such a low level spell :)

    ah fair enough. i had mine at 1 but i've just changed it to 1.5 since i didn't like it being completely useless

    It was fair :D

    It wasn't nearly as fast as it was in sud.

    On TOB now, just finished off gromnir.

    Hardest fight in vanilla: Final TOB Battle

    Hardest so far in scs: Liches you have to fight Before kangaxx (Simply because i battled the first 2 low level, then went into underdark, came back, then battled kangaxx). And twisted rune....jesus...

    That mage (Layene i think) is a bitch...lol

    Contingency: Fireshield, Globe of Inv, Immunity: Divination, Invisibility...

    Poor, poor, true sight...
