In the original game on the PC, i'm sure when you transferred you BG1 char. your choices for weapons was reset. Can anyone else remember that? I was hoping to change these in BG2 as my choices in BG1 were made for playing BG1.

    No, that was because the original BG1 had different weapon proficiencies where AFAIR longswords, bastard swords etc were clubbed together under the same grouping. BG2 engine had many more varieties so you had to re-assign. Since BG1EE uses the BG2 engine you have the same weapon list from the beginning.
