Importing standard edition characters to EE?

Hey, this was probably answered somewhere but will it be possible to port characters from the standard edition to enhanced edition? Cheers.

I would gess you would have better change in that if you create character in bg2 in advance like im going to do. But dont get disappointed if it doesnt work, rolling a character is half the fun of the game
