@aristillius I actually am not a big fan of Opeth usually (nothing against them, I just don't like growl vocals at all) but their album Damnation is incredible. They are so good when they use clean vocals. That album is perfect to relax to or even sleep to. Its just so damn soothing. I'd actually say its one of my favorite albums.
I read pretty much all of Lovecraft to this album. This means that it makes me think of cosmic horrors and terrors lurking in the wilderness through no fault of its own.
I too, however, dislike pretty much all of Opeth other than this album, which is among my favourites.
@booinyoureyes and @Eudaemonium Yeah, the screaming is an acquired taste I guess Glad to hear that you like some Opeth songs though - Im a massive fanboy. This got me thinking – doesn’t the same go for Dorn? Some of the entries’ headings are rather obvious song titles: ‘Another one bites the dust’ by Queen and ‘Bad to the bone’ (which you yourself list in the first post ) ). Another interesting one:
