Question about BG_2 Tweaks.

I used the mod install order listed on this site and when I got to BG_2 Tweaks I tried to install some features that would allow Thieves and Mages to use heavy armor with some penalties. The mod did not install correctly, I don't really need the mod though. My main concern is now every peace of armor when I click on it says something like Invalid: 105647 for Splint Mail Armor as an example. I have two questions. One did me trying to install the armor mods in BG_2 Tweaks cause the Invalid: 105647 and secondly how big of a problem is this in my game. Also is it acceptable to just rerun the setup-bg_2tweaks.exe and make changes to some things without uninstalling it or any other mods first? I would greatly appreciate any insight in these matters, thanks.

you can try to use the setup and uninstall the tweaks you don't want anymore. I had some problem too with bg2 tweaks on the EE, but then I uninstall the fixes that didn't work and everything was fine. For example I had problem with the multi stronghold tweak, or the cromwell one, the game crashed. But now I kept only few tweaks installed and the game works great. I think that bg2tweaks still needs to be fixed to work perfectly on the enhanced edition.

Those invalid numbers refer to text entries in the Dialogue.tlk file. This is kept in a different location with the EE games, in the Language folders rather than in the main game folder. If you copy it over the main game folder first while installing the mod, then transfer it back the Language folder afterwards, you'll end up with the text strings showing up correctly. The mod is installed, it's just the text strings that aren't showing correctly.

@Belanos This way of installing mods is obsolete. Starting from WeiDU 232 (now is 236), you don't have to copy the dialog.tlk file into the game folder. WeiDU will ask you which language you use in the game the first time you install a mod, just after the mod language selection.
It will keep track of this selection and will not ask you again for other mods.
All you have to do, before running the setup-something.exe of any mod, is download the latest WeiDU here, and replace the setup-something.exe of the mods by a copy of weidu.exe in the archive you downloaded from the WeiDU website.

Yes, I realize that. Which made me wonder why he came up with that problem in the first place. He's probably using an older version BG2 Tweaks. The latest version recognizes the EE games and edits the dialog.tlk file accordingly. I find though that working with DLTCEP that I still need to move the file to the main folder. Near Infinity doesn't seem to have that problem.

@Belanos With DLTCEP, you can select the game language in the the game configuration, in the WeiDU settings window (provided you selected an EE game type), then you won't need to copy the dialog.tlk either.

Regarding @Munson44 problem, I think BG2Tweaks was last updated (v14) before BG2EE was released and is still using a rather old version of WeiDU (232), that has a few bugs, including the one causing the scary "New strings are correctly added during the first run on BGEE." fix appearing in the history of changes for WeiDU 234, that would perfectly match the problem.

It would be best to update the setup-bg2tweaks.exe with the last version of WeiDU.

I tried setting it as an EE game but for some reason it wouldn't stick. It just defaults to standard BG/BG2 format.

No, version 14 has been updated with EE in mind. I had no problem installing it. I'm not sure what version of WeiDu it's using though.

I installed tweaks version 14 and seems to work ok (admittedly I've only chosen a few things)
the one bug I spotted in BG2 - the dialogue for Cromwell was all over the place when he was allowed to upgrade ToB stuff in SOA (he still upgraded them ok though)
And in BG1, the description of the ioun stones and unlimited ammo (at least I think they were unlimited ammo and ioun stones) were again a complete mess.
