Dissapointed with Hexxat's quests rewards

In the second quest Hexxat tells me I can steal the key instead of fighting to get it. If I do fight, I get a lot of experience and items that I can change for good coin. If I steal the key, no experience whatsoever.
In the third quest, I just talked my way to finish this quest. And no reward??? From what I know, L doesn't even pay Hexxat!
Come on, an RPG should not reward only the combat. This is not Diablo 4.
