Best Custom Characters

I think we can all agree that at one point or another, either in the original game or in the brilliant new EE version of the game, we've gone through the process of starting a multiplayer session, making custom characters and then moving the multiplayer save game to the single player folder to enjoy some uberly-powerful characters. I've done it many times when what I need isn't catered to by the existing NPC's. Now I do it because I like all the weird and wonderful characters I can play with.

What I want to know, is what are you favourite custom characters? Backstories, proficiency and attribute scores, classes and all. Share your favourite creations.

Mine are as follows.

BG Original:

Back in the day when I was younger and had no understanding of the game mechanics, I had a brute force team that I had taken through the entire game once or twice and had imported back to the start of the campaign when I finished.

Olshay Kamer was the player character: Male, Fighter, Half elf, Dual weapon style.
Torak Ashak was his wingman: Male, Fighter, Half elf, Two handed sword.
There was a cleric that I cant remember the name of, since I only added him in when I realised that they were the only class that had resurrect or raise dead.
Oaken Olak: Male, Avenger druid, elf, staff.
Coin: Another half elf (Yeah, now that I come to think about it I was bloody unimaginative when I was younger) Mage/thief, bow.
And one free slot that I added in NPC's when they were quest essential.
These guys held a special place in my heart. They were the first team I ever got to the end of the story.

BGEE-BG2EE:

Now here is where my character started getting more interesting. I learned more about the game mechanics, the lore of the game, even about Shadowkeeper and EEKeeper.

So these are the characters that I have in my current archive of custom OP'ness.

First off the bat: Yuri.

1) Yuri is a monk, human, maxed out strength, dexterity and constitution since I roll the dice as often as it takes to get the max. (92 is the best I've ever had so far). Lawful Neutral.

He's names after Yuri Boyka from the Undisputed films. He pretty devoutly believes that he is the pinnacle for any other monk to aspire to. He joined up with the main character in Athkatla and started raising havoc in order to prove his superiority. Good for him.

2) Aunan is the stereotypical grizzled war veteran. He's been on more battlefields than most men have ever heard of, and he will put that experience to good use in any engagement. To fit his character, I altered his stats a bit with EEKeeper. As it stands at the moment, he's sitting pretty at 18 strength, 18 dexterity, an illegal 20 points of constitution, a measly dump stat of 8 intelligence, 16 wisdom, and 9 charisma.

He is human, Lawful Neutral again, and comfortable with any weapon found in conventional battlefields. But he prefers the sword and shield. He, like Yuri, ran into the Bhaalspawn in Athkatla while hunting down his former employer, who made the classic mistake of ripping Aunan off on payment for a mercenary job. Aunan was also part of the group of adventurers who saved Icewind Dale in the game of the same name.

3) Eve. In every party, I am a firm believer that there should be that one person who can play the role of evil. Just to have a reason to do all the things you know you shouldn't be going.

Evil Eve as I call her, is that person. Cleric Mage, Half Elf, an illegal three proficiency points in staffs and one in slings. (She's a fan of the up close and personal approach, despite being as squishy as Xan or Xzar. Just to add a level of roleplaying difficulty into the mix.)

Stats: Strength 10, Dexterity 18, Constitution 9, Wisdom 21, Intelligence 20, Charisma 12.

I'd just like to point out, that while it is impossible to get those intelligence and wisdom scores in the initial character creation, I had her all the way through the Baldur's Gate 1 EE campaign, and I spammed the stat increasing tomes on her.

As for her backstory, she is the sister of another half elf called Evaline, who is also a cleric mage from my playthrough of Icewind dale. They are on opposite sides of the moral spectrum: Eve is Neutral Evil, Evaline is Neutral Good. Naturally, Evaline's goal is to convince her sister to renounce her evil ways, and Eve's goal is to kill the ever-loving cr*p out of Evaline. Family disputes are great right?

4) Morro. Yes, I did indeed name this Fighter/Cleric after a chocolate bar. What can I say, though I am extremely good at making backstories, my naming sucks. Chaotic Good.

Strength 18, dexterity 15, Constitution 18, Wisdom 18, Intelligence 10, Charisma 13.

He was a filler character that I made to fill a spot on my BGEE team that couldn't be realistically filled by any of the NPC's. A Helmite priest on a pilgrimage to regain his faith, Morro is asked by Gorian to guard the Bhaalspawn if he should fall in combat. After BGEE, Morro left the party and continued on his journey. Nothing has been heard from him since.

5) Soloman. Originally a Cleric/Mage I made in an attempt to solo the game, hence his deliberately misspelled name, The Solemn Man merged himself into my main playthrough of BG2EE in the place of the lovely Eve. As Eve had all those cool bonuses to her Wisdom and Intelligence from the tomes, I carried those over.

Soloman is a beastly addition to my team with 15 Strength, 18 dexterity, 14 constitution, 21 wisdom and 20 intelligence (courtesy of the lovely Eve), and 10 Charisma since he's older than Gandalf.

No backstory for Soloman, because that basically is the prevailing theme with him. No-one knows where he came from, no-one wants to be the first to ask. True Neutral. On a side not, while Torak Ashak was the wingman to Olshay in the original team, Soloman is the wingman to my current Bhaalspawn.

6) Ladies and Gentleman, but you hand up for the man with the plan, who always seems to be running by the seat of his pants regardless. The Bhaalspawn! Vallahad! I found it agreeable that I should name this account after the character I always play.

Vallahad is the blond haired, Chaotic Neutral Swashbuckler/Shadowdancer illegal hybrid that I am playing at the moment in BG2EE. I carried him as a normal Swashbuckler through the original game, carried him to BGEE when it came out and pulled him through that with great difficulty. Swashbucklers are kind of a liability in the early levels.

Then when I hit BG2EE, I decided, to blazes with it all, I'm going to go nuts with EE Keeper just to see how much I can change without the game crashing. Turns out, almost everything.

Strength 19, Dexterity 21, Constitution 22 (Even though he gets no Con bonus since he's not a warrior class, he still gets the regenerating health that was made so prevalent by Kaigan in the original game), Intelligence 10, Wisdom 16, Charisma 10.

Along with that, I made him a Shadowdancer and boosted his THACO and AC to the levels of a swashbuckler of his level. He also has a whole swath of innate abilities from the Blade, Dwarvern Defender and assassin classes.

.....Yeah, that's not overpowered at all. I'm just waiting to see what will happen when he gets to the higher levels and starts reaching his full potential. At the moment its a big screen full of Vallahad Backstab for triple damage: 70 point plus.

In the playthrough with him at the moment, he has Aunan and Soloman backing him up with Jaheira, Viconia and another random NPC backing up their gore filled charge. I'm enjoying it immensely.

So those are my weird creations. Share what you have, and if it is anyway as outrageous as mine, you get internet cookies!
