Exporting from BG1:EE to BG2:EE, do quests and current party matter?

If I import my CHARNAME from BG1 to BG2, will the game take into account the quests I've done and the party member interactions I've had? Like if I decided to gut Edwin on the side of the road, will his story be interrupted in BG2, or if I romanced Neera will that cut off other options? Cause if not then I'm going to be a dirty bastard and just keep doing export/import for stat tomes til everything is like 25.

Thanks for reading.

It doesn't matter. You can even kill Neera in BG1 and romance her in BG2.

Some items carry over (find the list here:http://www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/miscellany.htm)

You can also keep your experience for your PC and any stat increases you give him from tomes (if you really want to do that tome hoarding thing you can just cheat in some tomes with the cluaconsole- http://www.ign.com/cheats/games/baldurs-gate-pc-9942)

the codes are c:createitem("book0X") after you unlock the cheat console by pressing ctrl and tab
the X is between 03-09 for the different stats you want to increase. The books need to be identified, and are quite heavy.

Sounds convenient, but I only like exploiting games if I can do it with what the game provides to me. It's still kinda cheating so I don't know why I don't just edit the books into my inventory, but it feels wrong lol. I'll use those on a different character though, for sure.

Then you can forget about getting your stats up to 25. There are only so many books you can find, 1 for each attribute except for Wisdom. For that there's 2 possibly 3, depending on how you complete a certain quest. Good on you for having that attitude though, you'll appreciate BG2 much more because of it.
