Oh yeah... and with 19 hp, my lv7 sorcerer died in the last session to a single salvo from a Winter Wolf, which was nowhere near him! T_T
Wait!
Really? Only 19 hp at level 7?
That can't be right... You must have gotten a really crappy roll when you created your Sorc because I imported mine into BG 2 with 113 hp. And at level 11 he has 129 hp. Granted its a Dragon Disciple Sorcerer but still.
@Heindrich I think that the BG1 sorcerers are not as exciting as their BG2 evolutions. I suspect the good sorcerer's reputation might be slightly biased by the typical mod enhanced (tactics/stratagems) BG2 solo experience. However this is so nice to play.
MMM is amazing. 5 aprs, partially hit through stoneskin and/or hit MR creatures, ignore mantle/immunity... A Lvl 3 spell that can be used against liches and rakshasas. You won't hunt the 200 HP fully armoured fighters with it but it is very nice to shoot down / disable / interrupt your spellcaster opponents. Combined with other disabling spells (web, hold, etc...) and/or summons this wins a lot of fights.
Having low HPs all game long is a key feature : it substantially orientates your playing style (especially if soloing). And this is good.
lol yes, 19 hp. He is not the Charname (multiplayer game) so I can't summon a familiar to boost his hp, and yes as @mumumomo guessed, he has 'gimped' stats for RP purposes.
Str:12 Dex:14 Con:14 Int:18 (I know it's useless, but I can't stand a stupid sorcerer!) Wis:12 Cha:16
Well I should hit lv8 the next session, and finally get Stone Skin, which should help with survive-ability.
