Maybe the real reason you start in a cage

is to prevent you from running away from Imoen when she comes strolling across the screen? I know there's a lot of people who runs away when she makes her appearances in the first game. And then there's people who shoot a crossbow bolt at her even. Maybe she doesn't say her "Heya, it's me, Imoen." line as a sort of compromise as that's the part people seem to hate most. I don't quite understand that personally. No idea how exactly it can be considered annoying.

I normally just sneak past her just to avoid needless conversation in general. Can't really do that in BG2 though. That said if anyone finds her annoying they need to relax and listen to some beats.

JJ is annoying in stereo. With both in the party, it is like Dolby Surround Annoying.
