Best party for Black Pits 2

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Havent found a thread for BP2 only for BP1 so I will start it. What would be your optimal party? I am thinking

- inquisitor
- sorceller
- berserk 9/mage
- multi mage/thief
- monk (as rasaad was really badass by ToB)
- ranger9/cleric

Thoughts?

    Barbarian
    Ranger/Cleric multi
    Monk
    Archer
    Sorcerer

    I don't like prebuffing and it's clearly discouraged anyway, so I wouldn't use so many mages. You can solo the game with a sorc so the others are there as support LOL

    Disclaimer: this is my favorite setup, but I don't consider it mechanically ideal. I just like to throw a little flavor and RP a little bit.

    That was my real party with which I finished, awesome fun.

    In Black Pits 1 a thief wasn't needed, is the same true in the sequel?

    A thief is useful, not so much for the fights, but the other things you do around the arena.

    I haven't played Black Pits 2 yet, so there's lock picking, trap finding etc.?

    Indeed there is some use for a thief, but it's not needed.

    Let's not forget pickpocketing! There are traps and locked chest in the game yes.

    Healing potions and arrows mostly.

    I suggest everyone takes a Dragon Disciple sorcerer. It makes one of the toughest fights a cake walk.
