Item Transfer on NPCs from BG2 to ToB

in General Discussion (Spoiler Warning!)
If I leave the gear on the NPC's, do they carry on to ToB or do I have to collect them first of them.

    The NPC's in your party will stay in your party into ToB along with the gear you've given them.

    Although I'm not sure about NPC's you might have left behind with gear on them and summon later.

    ok i tested... it doesnt stay in inventory (with dismissed npcs)

    And Sir Anomen returns to Squire Anomen...(dismissed NPC)
