Durlag's Tower

ForsbladForsblad Member Posts: 5
I managed to get passed the warders, but now I'm totally stuck. I'm thinking i might give up this darned tower.
If you look at this picture I can't get through to 10, 11, 12 and 13. I've been to 9, but couldn't open the next door so I went back to 1, and now I can't go back.
Help?

Try attacking the dummies in the storage room. There's also statues to manipulate, and ward stones to pick up.

    Here's Dan Simpson's timeless BG walkthough: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/75251-baldurs-gate/faqs/2456

Use Ctrl+F and enter "Level 3 Underground (AR 0512)" to find the solution to that area.

I did that now and one more doppelgänger appeared. I killed him. Still no door opened :/
I have a couple of wardstones, but I'm not sure how to use them? The colored ones I put in the dummies. But the rest?

I use Mac and neither Ctrl+F nor Cmd+F worked....

@Forsblad, for Mac is it Command+Shift+F to find text in a document? If you're using an iPad (and then Safari):

    Gotcha!
However, as you can see here http://sv.tinypic.com/r/2yoqpes/8 I've been in this room before. I took the helmet, killed the doppelgängers and came all the way to the teleport room. That's where it got tricky and I went back. The door shut, and I can't remember how to open it :/

Hmm. Are there any objects in the room that you can interact with, that operate as a switch to open the door?

In a worst case scenario you could enable cheats and use Ctrl+J to "jump" the characters out of the room.

In your screenshot, under the pink circle (Imoen I think), is a locked hidden door; right across from the highlighted door. It can be opened with a thief or Knock. You'll get to a small empty room that has another (larger) hidden door that can also be unlocked by normal means.

Behind this second door is a U-shaped hallway and a trap you need 100 in Disarm Trap to get across.

This path will lead you on the right way to find the level exit, just follow it, search traps/detect illusion and take all wardstones.

Thank you! I made it now :)

I've actually never played Durlag's Tower (I went straight from vanilla BG1 to BG2 when they were originally released). Should I be afraid?
