Berserker/Druid. I have only 1 spare * to spend. What should i pick up? SLINGS or DARTS? And why?

I cannot decide which one to pick. Please help? Which one is better for endgame? The +5 sling that can create +5 bullets? Or the numerous, fast, tricky darts, like the one found in ToB?

    +5 sling. You can also buy +4 bullets in Saradush (in case you need them) and your strength bonus is applied to bullets (unlike darts).

    I would say that both are useless for the end game.
    Your berseker will do 10 times more damage in melee anyway

    However darts are quite awesome early-mid game.

    1 says slings, 1 says darts, 1 says nothing between them matters... Now i only need just one more answer to decide...!

    Go slings! You will have a not so bad APR, plus you can use Improved Haste to double it, and it deals much better damage than Darts... So...

    Sure, slings do more damage, but darts have unique effects: poisoning, stunning, etc. That's what is fun about darts (that and they're plentiful & available early). If maximum damage is the main concern, neither slings nor darts are really in the conversation. You'll have great buffs & melee weapons soon enough.

    Agree @Gawdzilla, darts of wounding and stunning are the reason I would suggest them.

    You can find a few Darts of Wounding and Darts of Stunning in Watcher's Keep but there isn't anywhere in ToB you can buy them. The only exception being maybe as part of Neera's questline.

    @elminster A few? I've always felt like I'm swimming in magical darts in SoA and even BG1.

    I didn't say there were a few in SoA I only mentioned Watcher's Keep. OP hasn't actually said where they are in the game (though the * point to spend at least suggests a high level character) which has implications for how accessible these darts are.

    Hm. Damage is not my primary concern. But where to spend the * proficiency. I remembered the special darts. Specifically, Asp's and Crimson. Thankfully, i did not rush to slings. This time, finally, dart it is.
