BGEE AI scripts -> IWD?

I was wondering if I could copy the AI scripts from BGEE to IWD?
For whatever reason, half of the scripts in IWD do not work for me.
For example, fighter2, cleric1, and cleric2 AI scripts essentially do nothing and the party member just stands around.
I noticed that the scripts in BGEE and IWD have the same names and descriptions, so is it safe to just overwrite the IWD ones?
