Are there any charisma based dialogue lines In BG 1 and 2

I cant remember if this game had even a bit of what Planescape Torment, Neverwinter 1 and 2 had in terms of persuasion skills.

There's a fair amount of it in BG1, but pretty much none of it in BGII.

You can notice quite a bit of it allready in Candlekeep; Hull will be less rude and pay better, the crossbow bolt guy will give you a magic dagger instead of a few coins, Winthrop's lines change a bit... Technically it's based on the "reaction roll" which is modified by Charisma and Reputation but you don't have sufficient rep to make a difference one way or the other right at the start. You won't be gimped by not having a high charisma but it does tilt things in your favour every now and then.

Getting Boots of the North (the +50% cold resist boots) from Jared, in the area north of Gnoll Stronghold, depends on reaction (which, as it was said, is determined by Reputation + Charisma + apparently a number the game rolls, between 8 and 12, though there were theories it didn't work and it was just 10 every time, not sure in EE).

I know of some mod NPCs (like Isra, for instance) that will only join you if you have a certain Charisma (for Isra, it's 13).

As for typical persuasion, there's the noble couple in Winthrop's inn, at the start of the game. You need 18 Charisma to persuade them to lock their valuables in a chest upstairs. Though, you have to be a Thief to open that chest, as even 19 strength half-orc can't bash it open. There's a Star Sapphire (1000 gold), Pearl Necklace (500 gold) and a Fire Opal Ring (250 gold) in it. Pretty good financial start.

There are a number of them in BG1. I'm not certain about BG2. With access to the ring of influence early on I imagine that not a lot of people have actually played through the game with say 3 charisma to see the difference it makes.

I do know the new NPC's have different dialogue options depending on your party leaders charisma. I know Hexxat in particular has a few cases of that in ToB, I'm fairly certain there are other examples but I'm not near a computer right now to check.

I read somewhere that the Melicamp outcome was driven by CHA/Reaction roll. I do not know if this is true or not or if it was merely an urban myth. Seems kind of a strange roll to base that outcome in any event.

I think that Icewind Dale 2 is the only other game that has charisma do something. I dont remember IWDale 1 having much and as was said, Baldurs Gate 2 had literally none. So IwDale 2 and Planescape although planescape Torment. This is one thing I wish the earlier games had that NwNights 1, 2 and Kotor 1 and 2 had in awesome abundance.

There is indeed a dice roll there but I doubt reaction modifier is part of it. You can reload until you get the desired result (Melicamp alive usually?).

Here are some charisma based checks in the game.

    [BG1]

Bolt quest (Candlekeep) : You'll get a dagger +1 if you have high enough charisma/reputation.
Hull's longsword (Candlekeep) : You'll get more money for handing it in and a different dialogue.
Lady with spider problem (Friendly Arm Inn) : She'll hand over 6 (?) antidotes if you have high charisma.
Silke (Beregost) : She'll give you 400 gold instead of 300.
Polar bear guy (Wilderness map) : He'll give you the 50% Cold resistance boots if you have high charisma.

I'm sure there are many more that i forgot as well.

For Baldur's gate 2 you got the Bard Stronghold which have both Charisma and Intelligence checks.
