Problem with the radiant heart paladins

So here's what happened:
I'm a chaotic neutral Mage so I like to do random things sometimes. I wasn't to worries about the paladins I killed in windspear hills (never liked paladins lol) so I told Garren to bite me. I then went back to the city straight to the docks and a group of badass paladins appeared, so naturally as a chaotic neutral I changed my mind and went to see Garren, he fixed the issue with the paladins, I saved his kid and all is happy. But the paladins are still standing at the entrance to the docks and I can't kill them lol. How can I fix this? I really don't wanna go back and start again (didn't keep any early save games because I'm an idiot lol). Please any help would be much appreciated.

    Ctrl Y :)

    (You'll need the console enabled)

So I hit ctrl Y when I'm standing in front of the paladins?
And how do I activate the console?
Sorry for all the questions :(

Make sure your cursor is hovering over the characters you wish dead (all of them, one by one, in this case).

I was mostly being goofy. With enough experience in the game you can defeat the enemies but using the console is the easiest way to get you back on track.

To use the console you'll need to go into your

"documents/baldur's gate II enhanced edition "

folder and find a file called "Baldur.ini"

If you are on windows open that file in wordpad (doing so just makes it easier to read).

Scroll down to where you start seeing a lot of things mentioning "program options".

Insert the following line in the file into the file.

    'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',

So in my case that part of the file ends up looking like this (no bolding though).

'Game Options', 'Over Confirm Everything', '0',
    'Game Options', 'Pausing Map', '0',
    'Game Options', 'Extra Feedback', '0',
    'Game Options', 'Filter Games', '1',
'Game Options', 'All Learn Spell Info', '0',
    'Graphics', 'Hardware Mouse Cursor', '1',
    'Program Options', 'Font Name', '',
'Program Options', 'Double Byte Character Support', '0',
    'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',
    'Program Options', 'Drop Capitals', '1',
    'Program Options', '3D Acceleration', '1',

Then once you are in the game you can pause the game, put your cursor over the enemy you want dead, and hit ctrl Y and they'll die (most of the time anyways)

Btw I'm playing the original not the enhanced edition, will it still work?

Ohh the console will still work but the writing in the file will be formatted a bit differently. Also the file location may be a bit different.

    Putting

    Debug Mode=1

    under "Program options"

    should do the trick
