Firkraag (Spoilers)

How much did BGEE buff him? He's not close to this powerful in the original game. He's hitting for 40+ damage on Keldorn with armor of faith and he's pretty much getting every single hit through (Keldorn has -14 AC) not to mention i'm not touching him, at all. -1 Thac0 on CHARNAME and 2 Thac0 on Keldorn and i'm not getting rid of any of his stoneskins, even with haste up i'm not getting damage onto him.

-14 AC on Keldorn, 125 fire resistance and a shit ton of buffs, and he falls in seconds.

I actually lost a no-reload game now to Firkraag, and that's never happened before.

I'm using 3 fire elementals and 2 mountain bears, haven't even gotten him to barely injured.

He does 1d12 +12 damage. Not counting the fact that he has 25 strength. He also has -12 Thac0 (once his strength is considered), 3APR, and -11 AC. He also has 100% resistance to fire so any of your fire elementals fire damage that gets through his stoneskin won't hurt him. Finally he has 30% towards the physical resistances.

Also how does Keldorn have armor of faith? Anyways keep in mind that a Paladin's Armor of Faith is cast at 8 levels lower than their level. So a level 11 Keldorn (in a theoretical world where he can cast Armor of Faith) would get 5% damage resistance.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't buffed at all in BG2EE. This is how he's always been. It's more likely for fights to be debuffed (less mobs, for instance) in the EE games then it is for them to be buffed.

I made my Keldorn into a Cavalier so i wouldn't be using his dispel magic to win fights.

I've done Firkraag several times in the original, even with SCS installed. I've never had a tank with -14 AC and 160 health fall down in less than 5 seconds to him. The fire elementals are mostly there to tank, which they did very well but i just couldn't get through the stoneskin.

I don't know what's wrong, first time i've ever gotten beaten this badly by him.

Magic is much more efficient in dealing with dragons than melee. Try blinding him and he wont retaliate.

Get High APR and a good THAC0 with someone able to Poison Weapons and shoot continiously to the Dragon. This is very easy with a Assassin->Mage, Melf Minute Meteors, Poison Weapon, Improved Haste and Spell Shield make it a very easy fight.

I play most of my no-reload games without an arcane caster nowadays, so that wasn't really an option. I should still have won that fight, ah well i'll just have to come back with another party.

My CHARNAME was an Undead hunter with 19/19/19/13/14/19 from BG1 so it's kind of frustrating, but shit happens.
