Can Scroll of Magic Protection be Dispelled?

As title suggests. I'm following the current discussion raised by Josh Sawyer on the Obsidian forums regarding sucker punches performed by GM's - so was wondering if the latest version of BG:EE or BG2:EE allows for any dispelling of the scroll on the player, or if the player still can use it on enemies (such as a lich) or boss.

Only if you install SCS's 'Allow Prot. from Magic scroll to be taken down by Spellstrike', and it only works with Spellstrike.

I was comparing it to anti-magic shell in Torment, but couldn't remember if that was added by a mod as well. Which is interesting, because for the many people that are talking about being "sucker punched" by the rules - here are examples of anti magic that cancel out the instant kill spells. If I remember correctly that includes a certain lich in the docks in un-modded BG2...

oh, now I get it. No, there is no such a thing that is already existing, but you can easily change it to make the scroll allow a target.
I've attached the modified file, which only works for BG2:EE (unless you don't care about the description & name), just drop it in the override folder (same directory as the CHITIN.KEY, you might need to create the folder).

Nice. I meant both really, it's just hard remembering vanilla, which mod I installed back in the day and then what unique stuff a modder might have added per encounter.

Even the Beholder Anti-Magic Ray cannot dispel the effect of Protection against Magic. However, non-EE BG2 cloudkill can still break through the globe and do damage...
