Multiplayer crashing with more than 1 person

Me and my wife bought this game (the android version) due to the advertised multiplayer option, but we have not been able to get it working. We are both using the same hardware (galaxy tablets 10.1) with the same software versions, the same game versions (with same add-on purchases), and are on the same WiFi home network with ports forwarded to the one hosting. We have tried the beamdog.net setting and tpc/ip (cannot even see games from this one). We have even tried direct WiFi connect with no luck. Any advice/assistance would be helpful as we are ready to request our money back and file complaints for false advertising (ie.. we are very upset).
